The University Health Centre provides health care services geared towards preventive and curative treatment as well as health education and counselling. While the service is provided mainly for students and staff, it is also extended to members of communities in the Roma Health Catchment Area. St. Joseph's Hospital (5 kilometres away) which serves as its referral hospital. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this convenient health service provided by the University.
The Clinic is managed by a Medical officer who visits on stipulated days, nurses, a Pharmacy Technician and a Clerical Assistant.

Procedures at the Clinic
Students must produce Student Cards to the Clinic staff:
1. Sick leave for students can be recommended by the Campus Nurses, Campus Medical Officer, any other doctor in a hospital, and a private practitioner who is registered with the Lesotho medical Dental and Pharmacy Council.
2. Sick leave recommendation should be communicated in writing to the Dean of Student Affairs.
3. For consultaion, students must have the medical booklet (Bukana ea Bophelo) which can be purchased from the Clinic. Medical booklets from other health centres are acceptable.
4. Fees at the Clinic are quite affordable for students. Announcements relating to fees will be made from time to time and can be collected from the Clinic.
Other Services
The Clinic staff offer FIRST AID TRAINING for volunteers and TRAINING FOR HIV/AIDS SUPPORT GROUPS.
Emergency Response Services
The Clinic operates an emergency service at 'GILBO' WARDEN'S FLAT. This service is provided by the nurse-on-call (2221 3345 or Extension 3345) from 0700 hours to 1700 hours on week days. During weekends and public holidays it is open for 24 hours.
